REGGIO EMILIA (February 4, 2011) - With the project MediaLibraryOnLine was born in Reggio Emilia the first digital platform for public libraries that loan collection of over 50 thousand content : e-books, videos, movies, photos, documentaries, newspapers from 89 countries in 40 languages, communities, social networks, all freely accessible by users of the network through the personal card of the library service, 24 hours 24 from any internet terminal .
The project started in 2005, was conceived and promoted by the Library Service of the Province of Reggio Emilia in collaboration with Horizons Unlimited srl in Bologna and the Consortium Library System North West of Milan. To date, about a thousand people joined the libraries of four Italian regions: Lombardy, Tuscany, Umbria and Emilia Romagna.?
